Dear Lytton and OBSNW,
I just read about the gun point in Wesley from last night and it seems
these were the same guys who put us at gun point at #3 Lytton on Friday
early morning.

The description from last night was two man in a green Toyota lingering and
waiting for opportunity. One man, the gun man, stepped out of the car and
put the couple on gun point. This pattern sound extremely similar to our
case: one gun man (smallish, slim coloured with hoody ~ 170 cm), the other
guy in the background. I didn't see the green toyota corrola, but this is
what Lorraine saw:

"There was an old square shaped dark greeny colour Toyota Corolla parked in
Scott Road just outside number 53 on the left hand side going up but parked
rather skew in the road with a driver in it. It started up the engine and
the exhaust was very noisy. Then I saw the white (now I know its yours)
Renault come round the corner rather fast and wondered what was happening
as whoever was driving your car was clearly following the Toyota. They
both went around the top corner into the Main Rd towards Mowbray and I
could hear the noise of the Toyota for a long while so I assume that they
must have driven onto the N2."

Another email (I can't find at the moment) indicated that the same guys may
have been responsible for a gun point in Wesley before.

They seem to be very opportunistic and I am quite sure that I wasn't
followed, but instead they lurked in front of 53 Scott waiting for their
opportunity (perhaps they new my car and expected me to come home that
night).
Anyway, as hectic as they are they seem to take a high risk using the same
car and following the same pattern. In the end they got my hard-to-sell
car, a cheap cell and 140 ZAR. They could have entered the gate, house,
raided or searched us, but it seems more like an opportunistic hit and run
(we were very lucky in that).

If they try again using the same car, it is likely to get them before
anything happens, as long as everyone would be alert of the green corolla
lurking. I am not sure how to best communicate this to OBSID and the
police, although I presume they already know what they are looking for.
Please advice.
Stay safe and thanks again for the support.
Cheers,
Henning

P.S. Tahirih could you please add me back to the Whats app group - thanks
:).
