Later that same day there was an attempted mugging on the same corner of Milner and Lower Wrensch. Apparently the perpetrators were pepper sprayed and ran off through the subway, and OPS responded and pursued them. Can Hannes update us on whether they were caught?
After this incident and several others centering on the subway recently, members of the whatsapp group have been calling for the subway to be closed or to be more frequently monitored. Ideally, it should be under camera surveillance. It's a frequent site of muggings and getaways, and a place where criminals get high or sort through their haul. At the very least, it needs to be locked more consistently at night. (Gill, I'm not 100% sure the alarm went off during the house-breaking - the messages seemed to imply that, but unclear.)
