Hi Brian, thanks for taking the time to file this bug report back in
2008.
The program is called approx-gc now. I'm going to close this bug report,
as its very old and lacking information needed to reproduce the issue.
If you do still have these issues, feel free to change the status back
to New and provide more information.

When I run gc_approx I simply get:
Not_found
And no space is freed up.
