Hi Alex

We were approached by ISPRS and asked if we wanted to run a FOSS4G Perth as
part of that event. The FOSS4G Perth community got together, discussed, and
came to the consensus it was worth pursuing.

I'm sure there will be a role for OSGeo Oceania to play when the time is
right. The event is still 10 months away.

Cheers
John
