I need to setup Oracle 10g R2 RAC. For this i have first installed SLES
9 on x-86, then tried upgrading to the SP3 kernel, i.e
kernel-default-2.6.5-7.244 version
Now linux does not boot after the upgrade, it throws the following error

Waiting for device /dev/hdc2 to appear..not found

/dev/hdc2 is the root partition

Any help on how to resolve this is greatly appreciated
i acknowledge that this more of a Suse Linux issue, but i'm not getting
help from any of the Linux forums, have tried the Novell forums too.

Please let me know if you need any information

Thanks
Arvind
