Have to ignore cluvfy
Symptoms
Failed checking the shared storage accessibility using the cluvfy command as pre-installation step before installing RAC
Example:
$/cluvfy comp ssa -n all -s /dev/vgdata01/ -verbose
Verifying shared storage accessibility
Checking shared storage accessibility...
ERROR: /dev/vgdata01/
Storage operation failed.
Shared storage check failed on nodes "noratdb3,noratdb2,noratdb1".
Verification of shared storage accessibility was unsuccessful on all the nodes.
Cause
Cluvfy currently does not work with devices other than scsi devices.
So devices like emc powerpath, volume groups etc will fail when checked using cluvfy for shared accessibility.
Solution
No workaround as such.
Use manual methods of detecting shared devices.

Harry, This tool fails here too if I put these "-c" and "-q" parameters for the storage checks. Even so RAC is installed and running. I would not pay much attention to this at this point. Also as far as I know these parameters are originaly intended to work with raw devices. It is a generic tool that run in all platforms and probably the developer did not pay much attention to OCFS2, which is specific on the Linux platform. That error on the VIP checking also is documented and you can ignore it at this point. But you probably will have a error in the end of the CRS install and in this case there is manual procedure that need to be done with vipca before you start to install the database. touch /ocfs2/ocr2 touch /ocfs2/vdisk1

Try to create the ocr/voting under a directory on /ocfs2. If I'm not wrong, there was a bug on CRS install identifying ocr/voting disks directly under the mountpoint.
Also, make sure both nodes can mount the same partition. Create a file on one node and see if you can remove it from the other node.
