Which version? 1.4.1?

# rpm -qa | grep ocfs2

Do a strace.

# strace -o /tmp/tune.out -tt -T -p PID

If you are just enabling those two features, then it would be safe to
kill the process. I would still like to see the strace to determine as 
to why
it is taking time on your box. Run the strace for a short while.
