*Location:* Herndon, VA, *Duration:* 1 Month *Rate:* Open *Job description:* Develop and maintain platform data models, data dictionaries, data maps and other artifacts across the organization. * Leverage expertise in data modeling to provide innovative solutions to challenging business problems. * Lead high-level database design for major new applications and application releases. Ensure that the needs of key stakeholders (development, operations, business, etc) are met and balanced. * Clearly understand and communicate the technology aspects of application and system operational domains as well as where project assignments fit within technology and business strategy. * Participate in the project lifecycle, providing data architectural guidance *Must-Have Skills:* * Minimum of 8 years combined experience in data modeling, database and data architecture. * Experience in using data modeling tools such as Erwin, ER Studio, etc. * Extensive knowledge of and direct experience across the full development lifecycle experience including requirements analysis, design, development implementation, operations, and maintenance. * Demonstrated skill in developing complex, scalable large business applications using Oracle technologies. * Experience in Oracle database development, design, and best practices are highly desired. * Experience with relational and dimensional modeling techniques. * Strong analytical skills, proficiency in root cause analyses and ability to resolve problems * Excellent documentation, presentation, oral and written communication skills along with the ability to work independently and handle ambiguity effectively required * Strong understanding of mortgage business concepts with experience in financial or mortgage technology is desired. 2 years data modeling experience Ability to translate high level business requirements into data flow diagrams Knowledge in data modeling tools, such as ERWIN Strong analytical skills Strong communication skills (written and verbal) Strong knowledge of DBMS.
