Also known as *NEVQA* - National Engineering Validation and Quality Assurance. *Minimum Required Skills / Competencies: * Thorough understanding of common *LAN/WAN topologies* and transport methods is required. This includes but is not limited to: TCP/IP, Routing(RIP, IGRP, EIGRP, OSPF, BGP), VPN, ATM, VNN, PNNI, Frame Relay, X.25, HDLC, PPP, ISDN, SMDS, DDR, Spanning tree, HSRP, MLT Communication Server, Protocol Translator, TACACS, RADIUS, RSRB, DLSW+, STUN, SDLLC, QLLC, CIP, VoIP, VLAN, QOS, DSCP, OTN, IPSec, DS1, DS3, OCXX, SONET, SHNS, ISDN (BRI & PRI), FCoE, iSCSI, SNMP, 10/100/1000 Ethernet, 10GigEthernet. Must be fluent with *Cisco IOS, and hardware.* Must have demonstrable experience in *one or more* of the following F5-LTM, Nokia Fire Wall, CrossBeam Fire Wall, DNS, 3DNS, Juniper. Must have *knowledge* on OPSware, Checkpoint, Solarwinds, Gigemon, and AAA applications. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to work independently with minimal supervision, and be able to prioritize and manage their time effectively. They also must function within a team environment. High-level network troubleshooting ability.
