Currently I have position of Jave Server Engg.(Performance) REQUIREMENT DETAIL: Duration: 6 Months Location: CA (Local) We're looking for a senior engineer to lead the performance measurement and improvement of industrial strength Java and C++ server software. As a well-rounded developer, you know how to create well-designed and well-implemented production quality systems. You have a good understanding and practical experience in both the software development process and application development. Skills At least 10 years of commercial software development experience At least 2 years experience as a performance engineer/lead in a multi-tier server environment Expert at Java, C & C++ in LAMT (Linux-Apache-MySQL-Tomcat) server environments Experience with distributed, fault-tolerant, highly scalable systems on hardened Linux environments Experience with tuning J2EE application server performance including JVM memory usage, measurement and optimization Experience with SQL query optimization, MySQL DB server performance tuning and MySQL replication Understand common Java application development related technologies - Servlets, JDBC, XML, Web Services and other Java APIs Demonstrated ability to manage remote or local contract resources Strong analytical and problem solving skills. BS in Computer Science, Engineering or relevant discipline is required Demonstrated track record of being a significant contributor at increasing levels of responsibility throughout your career Demonstrated experience in developing production systems through multiple release cycles and product versions Effective communication skills working across internal company teams Teamwork - referenced ability to work well in a team exhibiting a willingness to learn from others and take responsibility for development Tasks/Responsibilities Identify and document internal and external customer requirements for server performance ? Capacity, Scalability, bandwidth usage and transaction rate Design infrastructure roadmap for measuring and optimizing performance Define and document test methodologies Design, develop and manage measurement tools and infrastructure Measurement of Server performance Trouble-shoot deadlocks and Database contention issues Observe and optimize products performance through hardware, Linux, Network, Apache, JVM, Tomcat, JDBC and MySQL database.
