Conduct user problem research/resolution and SQL tuning. Monitor performance time databases. Job requires a Bachelor degree in Information Systems or related discipline or an equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and skills may be acquired; and five years of experience with data base administration, data modeling, database design, and programming. *Requirements:* Applicant is required to be on a 24X7 on-call rotation. Should be able to diagnose and resolve database production issues when paged. Applicant should be able to demonstrate proficiency with the NT Operating system and SQL Server 2005 database platform. Experience in other DBMS platforms (UDB, Sybase, Oracle) and UNIX Operating System environments is a plus. If applicant is not cross trained on other DBMS platforms, Applicant is required to learn and support another DBMS platform while on the job.
