We have some opportunities in Quality Inspection Records that overlap with how our Production Orders are configured and how Purchasing Order Receipts are configured. Therefore we require a resource that Understand QM, how PP impacts QM and how Purchase Order Receipts (MM) affect QM. In addition to looking at the SAP this person would also be responsible for defining recommendations around our business processes. 1. When materials are written off as a part of physical inventory from QI location – the inspection lots associated with them are not getting cancelled. 2. When Goods Receipt is created for the Purchase order, then cancelled and then recreated again – the GR cancellation will not delete the inspection lot and the new one will be created for the “new” GR – this will create a duplicate lot. 3. If the materials are getting transferred from QI to unrestricted without UD – it will not process the inspection lot (Question: what is the process of transferring the materials to unrestricted? Why the lot is not getting accepted before the transfer?) 4. If the materials are getting transferred from QI to MRB without UD – it will not process the inspection lot (Question: what is the process of transferring the materials to MRB? Why the lot is not getting rejected before the transfer?) 5. In some cases inspection lot is created for original planned quantity of the materials on the production order instead of the actual delivered quantity. Example: Production order 300026 planned to deliver 6 items, but only 5 were actually delivered.
