*DURATION: 8+ months* *MAX RATE: $40/hr * *MUST BE LOCAL* *JOB DESCRIPTION:* Seeking a *DB2 DBA with DPF (EEE) who will handle the Project Manager and Tech Lead roles from a DBA perspective.* From a DBA perspective, you will manage and lead the project and provide the necessary DBA skills needed to cover everything from building and configuring a database to development and design to production rollout. The existing DBA team provides the direction, standards, and additional guidance to supplement this effort. The candidates need to provide development and production database administration support for the data warehouse and the applications that run on it. This data warehouse will be built on a state of the art AIX/SP2 environment. This individual will work with Application Developers, Data Modelers, Application Architects, Data Analysts, other DBAs, and Technical Resources to support applications with requirements for high availability, high performance, and high reliability. They will be responsible for physical implementation of the database storage structures, allocating system storage and planning future storage requirements for the database.
