Kindly Revert back your updated profile to [email protected]* *Sr. Database Engineer/Architect //* *Location: NYC(**NEED LOCALS**)* *Duration: 6 months* *Role: Senior Database Engineer/Architect* *Discription:* The DTS *Database Engineering* Team is responsible for product management, engineering standards and productivity initiatives across the firm. The team works in conjunction with other technology towers and LoB's to ensure that databases are deployed around a set of standards and best practices that is integrated with the enterprise infrastructure. Client is looking for a *Senior Database Engineer/Architect* who is a recognized leader in their field. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in *Application Development* and have led *strategic database-orientated* initiatives. Most importantly, they will have an excellent understanding of how *database technology can best be utilized to meet the needs of the business*. Although primarily an individual contributor, consultant will also be expected to lead virtual cross-tower teams in strategic initiatives. Consultant will also be expected to drive database agendas at the global perspective and influence and communicate across the organization. Consultant will be expected to engage with lines of businesses on a consultancy level, so a strong mix of hard and soft skills is essential. Initially, consultant will contribute to one or more of the initiatives the Database Engineering team is currently working on: · Firmwide Database Strategy & Technology Roadmaps · Database Solutions (Oracle and SQL Server) · Database Security Standards · Managed Database Services · Databases on Virtual Server Infrastructure (VSI) Good written and verbal communication is an important part of the role as consultant will be expected to provide regular updates to senior management, LoB stakeholders and the broader database community. *Qualifications:* · *8+ years* *of DBA experience* -- Strong preference for *Oracle, but* * SQL Server* will also be considered. · *5+ years* in Application Development · *5+ years* of experience in the financial services sector · Exposure to both *Application Development* and Operate roles · Knowledge of latest developments in database technology. · Proven track record of *database architectural* design and *leading change* · Good understanding of *distributed computing technologies including server hardware*, *operating systems, networks and storage*. · Demonstrated ability to facilitate cross-technology initiatives Thanks & Regards, Sandy Sr Technical Recruiter Global Computer Products Inc.
