*Mainframe Team Lead*

Location: Southfield, MI
Duration: 3+ months

*Description:
*- Provide guidance and coaching in developing the components required for a
technical solution of the impacted systems (i.e. User requirements,
functional designs, detail designs, test strategies and test grids and
cases, etc.).

*Requirements:*
- Consult with the functional business areas regarding the refinement of
business requirements and business and designing or determining the
technical solution.
- Understand the scenarios necessary in order to create the test cases and
sequences of testing events specifically addressing the business
requirements.
- Possess a basic knowledge of what is required to determine programs, jobs
and systems to execute for defined system updates.
- Create project development  plans.
- Responsible for project quality and timely delivery.
- Responsible and accountable for the execution of the approved development
plans.
- Ability to provide accurate project estimates.
- Ensure the proper technical skill development his/her staff.
- Conduct performance reviews.
- Responsible for project budgets.

*Required Skills:
*- 10+ years Analyzing and functional and detail design components for a
major application in an environment similar to Client.
- 10+ years experience performing and developing documentation under a
formal IT QA methodology.
- 8+ years experience in a mainframe environment.
- 10+ years experience and strong knowledge of COBOL, IMS, DB2 and other
mainframe tools.
- 10+ years experience in and online IMS DC.
- 10+ years in the development and maintenance of business applications.
- Experience in a distributed environment a plus.
- 4+ years experience with systems or operational area.
- 4+ years in team management.
- Ability to manage a team of more than 10 people.
- Ability to manage multiple projects.
- Ability to understand requirements and impacts of requirements on existing
technical system components.
- Works effectively, efficiently with team members.
- Communicates effectively (concise, appropriate to audience, specifically)
both orally and via the written word.
- Willing to learn and grow.
- Requires little direction from leader.
- Self motivated and can work independently.
- Work with all aspects of management and technical resources.
- Conduct personnel evaluations and conduct career counseling.
- Determine and drive significant business decisions that may have corporate
process and financial impacts.
- Assign team activities that are both tactical and strategic.
- Plan and prioritize team work loads.
- Ability to handle multiple activities at the same time.
- Lead significant corporate projects through a disciplined methodology.
