Please send best matching profile at [email protected] *Requirement DB2-DBA US Citizens Only* Location: Middletown, CT Salary: openp Please ask whether they have experience with DPF..This is mandatory · We are looking for two DB2 with DPF DBAs. · They need to handle the project manager and tech lead roles from a DBA perspective. · From a DBA perspective, the expectation is they will manage and lead the project and provide the necessary DBA skills needed to cover everything from building and configuring a database to development and design to production rollout. · The existing Informatics DBA team will provide the direction, standards, and additional guidance to supplement this effort. · The candidates need to provide development and production database administration support for the Tricare Warehouse and the applications that run on it. · The Tricare data warehouse will be built on a state of the art AIX/SP2 environment. · Candidates must possess expert design skills, provide project and design leadership, and provide technology strategy and direction. · Work with application developers, data modelers, application architects, data analysts, other DBAs, and technical resources to support applications with requirements for high availability, high performance, and high reliability. · Responsible for physical implementation of the database storage structures, allocating system storage and planning future storage requirements for the Tricare database. Modify the database structure, as necessary, to support business needs. · Populate and update database tables. · Ensure data integrity. Control and monitor user access to the database. Monitor and optimize the performance of the database. Plan and perform database backup and recovery and provide database technical support. · The successful candidate will have 4 or more years experience with DB2 with DPF on AIX, preferably with exposure to Data Warehousing and DB2 Version 9.5. Also required is a good working knowledge of Unix and experience with writing shell scripts using PERL. Candidates must be competent with converting logical data models into high performance physical designs. · Experience with Erwin or Info sphere Data Architect are a plus. · Some off hours support will be required.
