We are looking for a rate of $33 P/H. *Contract Software Engineer – Automation* *Job Summary* Develop manufacturing automated testing suite for factory End of Line (EOL) testing in Quality Assurance. *Qualifications* *Education* - Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Computer Science preferred *Experience * - 6-10 years of relevant software development and testing work experience - Automation experience a plus *Knowledge/Skills/Abilities* - Knowledge of embedded systems - Knowledge of Team Track issue management tool, Mercury Test Director or Quality Center a plus - Knowledge of computer operation and principles of computer hardware - 5+ years experience developing in Perl or other shell scripting languages - required - 5+ years experience developing in Linux/UNIX operation system - required - 5+ years experience of C++ development - 5+ years experience developing XWindows applications using GTK+/Qt and associated development toolkits - 5+ years of XML experience - 5+ years of HTML experience - Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook - Basic knowledge of the gaming industry a plus - Excellent written and oral communication skills and demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with other team members - Ability to work in a fast paced, deadline-oriented environment - Ability to provide input and potential solutions to the identified issues - Detail-oriented, organized, and ability to work with limited supervision *Job Functions* - Modifying Linux Operation System level functions - Developing and modifying peripheral simulators - Developing intuitive user interfaces (UI) - Developing user documentation where required - Production and distribution of status reports on a scheduled basis - Interface with other members of Product Assurance and Product Development as needed to effectively communicate and resolve issues in a timely manner before the automation suite is released into production - Provide detailed Completion Report at the end of each project - Mentor/train other engineers as required - Attend management review meetings - Introduce process improvement initiatives - Proficient understanding of software development and test methodologies/procedures and the overall product development lifecycle Thanks & Regards *Kristina* *I.T.
