Job Function/Technical Skills: Experience in/with: • Upgrade WebFOCUS server, Client, ReportCaster Server on Windows NT Environment. • Upgrade IWAY Server on zOS and IWAY Client on Windows NT Server. • Configure Oracle, DB2-8, MS SQL Server 2000, ODBC, Remote servers (Hub/Sub way) on WebFOCUS Servers. • Configure Managed Reporting repository to Realm Driver (using Active Directory) for Authentication. • Configure Managed Reporting repository to SQL Server for Authorization. • Create/Migrate Access Lists • Migrate all ReportCaster and ReportLibrary jobs and reports. • Migrate all MRE and Server Procedures. • Make sure IIS Server, WebSphere Server, WebFOCUS Server, SQL Server, IWAY Servers and all the related pieces are synchronized properly. • Make sure all the different securities pieces are functional in the new environment. (WebFOCUS Client Security, Server Console Administration, MRE/ReportCaster/ReportLibrary, Execution Id, RC Admin ID, Explicit connections to databases etc). • Migrate all self service applications to the new environments. • Do all the above in Development, Testing, Staging and Production environment. REQUIRED: College level coursework or formal training in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration or a related field, or related technology coursework. Bachelor's degree/technology certification preferred. Experience in: • designing, developing, implementing, or supporting moderately complex information systems (or complex maintenance projects) • building or supporting mainframe, distributed or Web-based systems • structured systems analysis, design, programming and testing • identifying, analyzing and resolving business/technical problems • monitoring tasks, using appropriate tools and techniques, recording progress, adjusting to possible project changes and meeting deadlines • user interaction and facilitation Strong written communication skills to include procedures and technical material preparation (a writing sample may be required at time of interview). Knowledge of: • systems operations practices • security and control procedures • systems development methodologies Ability to: • evaluate a moderately complex system and understand the inter-dependencies between components • lead teams of individuals in a matrix organization TITLE : Applications Developer * *DURATION : 3-6 months * *REPORTS TO: Sr./Project Manager BASIC FUNCTIONS Serves as a team leader or technical team member in the planning, designing, developing, implementing, and/or supporting moderately complex new or revised processes, systems, or networks, or segments of a large or complex system (e.g., complex maintenance project). Responsible for the timely completion and quality of assigned deliverables and strives to achieve service level objectives. Develops system specifications, prototypes, and all levels of documentation (e.g., structure charts, screen designs, data flow diagrams, file layouts, report layouts, and job run descriptions) in accordance with IS standards. Assists Security in the development of appropriate audit controls and procedures to ensure the integrity and protection of company resources.
