DATA WAREHOUE DEVELOPER SUMMARY Performs as a key catalyst to advance and implement the company's analytic agenda and capabilities in support of both business and clinical performance by leveraging in-depth knowledge in database theory and data warehousing technology. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Critical features of this position are listed below and may be revised, updated or reassigned at management’s discretion in accordance with business needs or other factors. • Design, implementation and maintenance of analytic processes and reporting products supporting the company’s understanding of its operational and clinical performance, as well as provide support for all custom reporting required by regulators and clients, (e.g., customer service level metrics, client-based utilization and cost performance, etc.). • Design, development and maintenance of data warehouses and data mart systems. • Ensure data systems conform to enterprise data architecture and strategy. • Develop and implement strategies for gathering data from operational databases and third-party vendors for inclusion in the warehouse. Define user interfaces for interacting with data warehouses and data marts. Translate data requirements into logical data models for coordination with other DBA’s and developers to build and implement the physical data models. • Ongoing assessment and maintenance of high standards of data integrity and quality throughout the data collection- to-reporting pipeline, as well as the implementation of new technology solutions related to data storage, reporting, importing, etc. • Implementation of special initiatives in support of analytical/ reporting needs of the company and its clients. • In conjunction with Clinical Informatics, coordinate the exchange of data files, tapes, disks. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES No direct supervisory responsibilities. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS • A Bachelor's degree in a quantitative, business, technical or health care related discipline required. • Minimum of 3 years experience working in database and data warehousing systems. • Proficiency with SQL queries required. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES • Demonstrated facility in manipulating large data files and proven skill in approaching data in a critical, analytical manner. Excellent quantitative skills. • Adept at managing data within a client/server environment, proficient skills in spreadsheet and database applications supporting analysis and reporting. • Understanding of medical codes, familiarity with medical terminology and pharmacy. • Ability to function effectively and thrive within a fast-paced, dynamic, team environment. • Ability to interact with all levels of management, prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
