Must have extensive knowledge of Unix/Linux architecture and operations Description: • Provides expert technical support and consultation for operating systems and applications. • Conducts and coordinates the analysis, planning, implementation, and upgrading of systems software and application software. • Participates in Stress Testing and performs analysis of the results. • Analyzes, designs, codes, tests, debugs, maintains, modifies, and documents operating systems and application components. • Identifies and resolves complex systems problems. • Monitors and gathers performance statistics to assist in determining hardware requirements and communication bandwidth to support projected transaction volumes, response time and system availability targets. • After hours, weekend work and On-call rotation is required. Experience: *Must possess minimum 8+ years of enterprise support experience with two or more of the following:* • *Solaris 8 or 10 (with zoning)* *• AIX* *• HP-UX (HIGHLY PREFERRED)* *• RedHat Linux* • Good communication skills (this is a must) both written and verbal • *Experience with Veritas volume manager* • Knowledge of middleware like *WebLogic, WebSphere and even apache*. • *Shell scripting* Thanks & Regards, Sandy Sr Technical Recruiter Global Computer Products Inc.
