Oracle Applications DBA Description of Duties and Responsibilities: -Manages the Oracle database behind Oracle EBusiness Suite -Performance Oracle Applications and DBA maintenance and support tasks related to all environments. Provide 7 x 24 hour support when required -Analyze and apply Oracle patches to the application and database tier -Clone Oracle Applications and database -Troubleshoot Oracle applications problems -Provide performance support to Oracle Applications -Backing up and restoring Oracle applications -Using RMAN to back up and restore Oracle databases -Carry out capacity planning and pro-active monitoring Technical Skills: -Oracle Applications DBA with 11.5.10+, 12.0 experience for a minimum of 5 years preferably on Linux/Unix platforms -Participated in an Oracle Applications Upgrade cycle -Should have worked with RMAN 10g to backup, restore and clone Oracle databases -Proficient in analyzing applying patches, cloning and troubleshooting Oracle Applications environments -Performance tuning experience -Maintain Oracle Application log and configuration files -Excellent written and verbal communications skills -Positive attitude, strong mentoring skills, flexible -Able to document and articulate tasks performed Basic Minimum Qualifications: -BS in Computer Science, Information technology, or related field -5+ years experience as an Oracle Applications DBA -Knowledge of EBusiness Suite -PL-SQL Preferred Qualifications: -Oracle Enterprise Linux platform -Oracle DataGuard -Willing to work with other database platforms including DB2 and SQL Server Thank you, DBA FYI Center http://dba.fyicenter.com/ --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "OCP_DBA" group.
