Position will interface on database activities occurring in other tasks on the project to assist customer design optimal target SQL server architecture for existing and planned small/medium departmental business applications. Key objective is to incorporate data integration, data reporting, and failover and disaster recovery functionality into the resulting design. Technical documentation writer will be available to tech edit/QA documentation required in this effort for a State Government project. Required Skills: · Proven use formal system life cycle best practices and experience needed including gathering requirements and formalized design · Understanding of all SQL Server functionality and prior experience with data integration, disaster recovery, ETL tools and practices, MS SISS, MS SRSS highly desired · Strong design and data store architectural expertise for complex SQL consolidated architectures supporting multiple critical business systems · Ability to mentor other technical staff, strong written and oral communication skills and problem solving Required Experience: 5+ years database administrative experience, 3+ in SQL Server and database design/architectural tasks is required; more experience is desirable.
