Query analysis and index creation to enhance performance,Query tuning and related trouble-shooting. Will be responsible for building and testing all database components. Will provide support and maintenance of existing and new applications. Will interact with end users to create custom reports. Will work in a distributed team environment and be an effective part of the team, following all development processes, procedures, standards and guidelines. Must be highly skilled at finding root causes of errors and providing fixes in a demanding, mission-critical production environment. Should be able to take on complete tasks and deliver accurate results with minimal oversight. . * **Requirements:* - Must have at least 4 years professional experience and at least 75% of Professional work have been with Oracle. - Must be extremely proficient with data modeling techniques, indexing,and database performance issues, including but not limited to:query - Plan analysis, I/O analysis, data partitioning. - Must have a very good understanding of Oracle database settings and effects of same. - Must have experience building applications as part of three-tier web based applications. - Must have strong oral and written communication skills and be fluent in English. - Desirable to have some experience in data warehousing. - Desirable to have knowledge of Unix/Linux.
