I am looking for Sr Engineer, Data Modeling Please forward the suitable profiles to [email protected] * * *Title:* Sr Engineer, Data Modeling *Location(s):* St. Louis, MO Duration; 6 months Rate : Open Major Accountabilities: This position will primarily be developing multiple logical and physical data models to support the business needs of many applications throughout the organization, and may include data warehouse. This position requires an understanding of the business in order to assess and model the requirements of each project assigned. In addition, this position requires leadership skills to effectively communicate how the data structure designs meet project and enterprise requirements. Education (preferred): BS Degree or equivalent combination of experience and formal education. *Knowledge/Experience (preferred): * A minimum of 4 years experience in Logical and Physical Data Modeling. Requires expertise of modeling principles, theories and concepts. This position requires the leadership skills necessary to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously. *Skills/Abilities:* Must demonstrate leadership qualities, and have the ability to mentor junior team members. Requires self management and the ability to manage and prioritize time in a fast paced environment. Requires good communication skills, the ability to work in a team environment, the ability to identify process improvements and the leadership to ensure adherence to best practices. This position requires only general supervision; decisions and actions are based on established policy. Must have hands on experience applying enterprise data modeling principles to individual application data models, including business and ETL rules derivation. Must understand the concept of data integration and data governance. Requires leadership experience using the data model to drive out missing requirements and scenarios and resolving complex data structure design issues. Requires working knowledge of data modeling tools, data model integration, data model reconciliation, and data model management strategies.
