Ø 3-5 years experience in insurance and/or financial services systems. Ø 5+ years working with insurance underwriting and policy administration systems Ø 3-5 years experience in working in a Services Oriented Architecture (SOA) environment and web services. Ø Firm understanding of Software Architecture, Design Patterns, and Middleware. Ø Firm understanding of Web client and server-side technologies. Ø 5+ years working with Internet technologies *Skills:* Ø Ability to work with business and IT staff to define high-level solution architectures and architecture best practices. Ø Strong problem-solving skills across both process and technical domains. Ø Strong property & casualty insurance domain knowledge Ø Strong understanding of insurance underwriting and policy administration systems-both functional and technical. Ø Solid understanding of OOD and domain modeling. Ø Strong oral, written, and presentation communication skills. Ø Strong collaboration skills-ability to provide technical leadership and resolve conflicts of opinion across diverse, cross-functional teams. Ø Must be self-motivated and demonstrate initiative. Ø Customer-service oriented and able to work in a fast-paced, collaborative team environment. *Primary Responsibilities:* Ø Identify key business and technology drivers that impact front-end underwriting and policy management solution and application architectures. Ø Provide technical direction regarding front-end underwriting and policy administration solution design and development. Ø Collaborate with other architects and technical leaders across the organization to develop best practices. Ø Generate and maintain cross-functional roadmaps to eliminate surprises for development teams.
