In this role the Business Systems Analyst will: • Work directly with management, Business users, and IT staff to elicit, analyze, validate, define, document and manage business and system requirements • Represent business needs and detailed business information to project teams and sponsors • Provide knowledge of business process analysis tools and methods, participating in and supporting process improvement endeavors • Provide consulting and information from a business and systems perspective Knowledge or Experience Required: • Expertise in project management methodologies (processes) and tools. • Experience in facilitating workshops and process modeling with business areas • Experience in guiding and helping business users with creating business process and procedure manuals • Excellent coordination skills. • Excellent planning and organizational skills. • Facilitation skills. • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. • Builds excellent relationships, in person and virtually. • Ability to motivate and influence others. • Ability to coach and mentor others (senior coordinator). • Ownership of results • Pro-active, action orientation, decisive • Positive, enthusiastic attitude • Conflict engagement and resolution skills • Collaboration Specific Technical Skills Required: MS Project 2000 MS Office Suite Visio Sametime Requirements Management Tool Knowledge or Experience Needed: • College degree in business, mathematics, computer science or a related field, or equivalent business experience. • 10+ years experience in Business Systems Analysis • 2+ years experience in Business Architecture / Business Process Re-engineering. • Knowledge of Business Process modeling through UML • Deep experience in writing Use Cases, Complex Business Rules, Use Case Storyboarding, and Scenario creation • Experience with Financial Services back-office integration programs • Project Experience with Life and Health Insurance Products (Preferred) • Experience with Data Analysis and Modeling (Preferred) • Experience in Broker Dealer Compensation Systems (Preferred) • Experience with Requirements Management Tools • Experience with EAI and Rule Engines. • Strong communication/interpersonal skills with emphasis on customer service, decision-making, conflict management, teamwork, and coaching capabilities.
