Location: NY ( Local to NY or NJ or who can do face to face) Rate : Max $32.5/ hr Duration : 11 months contract Java Developers for 11 month contract assignment with a very busy global distribution company!! The qualifying candidate must have experience with the following: • Minimum of 4 years of experience in desktop or server side java development. • Excellent problem solving, multi tasking, customer service, organization & project management skills. • Understanding of object oriented languages and software design patterns. • Solid knowledge of SQL and database persistence mechanisms. • Solid knowledge of J2EE technologies (JSP, Servlets, JMS and JDBC). • Working knowledge of Web Services (SOAP and WSDL). • Working knowledge of messaging systems (JMS, MQ and Tibco EMS). • Experience with unit testing. • Knowledge of Eclipse RCP is a plus. On a day to day basis the programmer will be responsible for: • Working with the team to implement information systems to meet business objectives. • Will be working to understand user workflows and design user interfaces that are intuitive, promote collaboration, and optimize usability. • Working with engineering principles, applications analysis, development techniques, documentation techniques & source-code control.
