Database Developer

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

* Design, develop, and maintain database components of web
applications as part of a structured Systems Development Life Cycle
(SDLC) process

* Create database objects including tables, views, stored procedures,
packages, triggers, indexes, and functions

* Optimize and tune database objects

* Develop Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL) processes for data
conversions and migrations

* Analyze requirements and work with application developers and
analysts on web-based applications

* Maintain and improve existing applications

* Work with analysts to develop and implement unit and system testing
processes

* Create system and user documentation for new and existing
applications

* Incorporate appropriate data security throughout all development
efforts

OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Accept and complete projects and other miscellaneous duties as
assigned

* Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or equivalent experience

* 2+ years database programming experience including tables, views,
stored procedures, packages, triggers, indexes, and functions

* 2+ years database development experience with (in order of
preference) MySQL, Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle

* Excellent verbal and written communications skills

DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS:

* Experience with UNIX and Linux

* Experience with Java
