Sr Applications DBA (Oracle) Key Responsibilities: Under the guidance of Systems and Operation Division Manager, the Senior Database Analyst/Administrator (Oracle ERP) is responsible for: Provides senior level support on Oracle e- Business suite including ERP, EAM and CRM solutions; Supports existing database management systems (DBMS) systems/technologies and small, basic projects with budget; Provides technical development and support skills in at least one DBMS environment; Designs simple complexity database applications. Includes maintenance of database dictionaries and integration of systems through database design; Performs database administration and management activities in a safe, recoverable and professional manner that ensures the optimal operation of all database environments; Performs the level 2 support, as required, adhering to on-call processes and problem escalation processes; Works closely with the ETL Developers and the rest of the technical team; Designs and develops in Oracle 10g, DBA, PL/SQL, Performance Tuning, Data Warehousing, Data Modeling, Stored Procedures and Triggers; Stays abreast of the most current release of Oracle, including compatibility issues with operating systems, third party software and utilities; Performs other duties as assigned by the Division Manager. Required Minimum Education and Experience: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or other technical discipline, OR five (5) additional years of relevant IT professional experience; 5 years of progressive experience in Application database administration & Oracle Business Suite in a large corporate environment including: Full life cycle Oracle 11i implementation/ upgrade project completion in an Application DBA role; 3 years experience as an Oracle Applications DBA, which encompasses installing, upgrading, and supporting Oracle Applications software and the associated Oracle Technology stack in a multi-tier environment including: database server, applications server, web server, concurrent processing server, reports server, forms server, admin server, and discoverer server environment; Experience with patching, upgrades, and admin utilities console; Experience with Oracle Database Administration in configuration, load balancing, backup/recovery, sizing and space management, PL/SQL tuning, diagnostics, and proficient with the use of Oracle's Enterprise Manager tool; Experience in opening, managing, and resolving Oracle TAR's and have installation of portal experience; Familiar with Oracle ERP, EAM and CRM solutions.
