*Role:* Data Warehouse Developer
*Location:* Boston, MA
*Duration:* 6 months
*Skills/Resp:* Seeking highly motivated, efficient, and professional
data warehouse developers. As a data warehouse developer you will
participate primarily in the development of ETL processes using
SQL and shell scripts.
· Coding ETL scripts that will extract data from an operational
database and populate the target data warehouse
· Developing shell scripts for production job automation
· Working in a 24x7 environment which requires on-call rotation
· Providing query writing support and tuning expertise to end users
· Documenting code and processes for distribution to all interested
parties
*Req. Skills: *Candidates must have:
· 7-8 years experience in database development
· Exceptional *Oracle SQL skills*. Hands on experience with set
based operations, analytic functions, and query hints
· Thorough knowledge of data warehouse principles and techniques
· Must be proficient with *UNIX and shell scripting*
*Pref. Skills: *Additional desired skills include:
· Experience working with large, multi-terabyte data warehouses
· Healthcare experience
· Experience with Perl, system administration, database
administration, storage architectures, backup and recovery, and networking
