Database Systems Administrator (SQL DBA) DUTIES: · Lead SQL Server software installation, maintenance and conversions (e.g. to SQL Server 2005 / 2008) · Review, evaluate, and maintain multiple databases in development and production environments to support enterprise level applications; o Work with development teams on all aspects of database design including tables, views, stored procedures, permissions, etc; o Perform physical database implementations; o Create, test, and conduct performance tuning on SQL Server databases; o Develop SQL processes for data loading, migration and application interfaces; o Develop and implement backup and recovery strategies; o Create deployment scripts, including rollback scripts, for all SQL Server changes; o Perform security configuration, administration, and reporting; o Develop and enforce organizational SQL standards and best practices; o Maintain database administration documentation and schematics · Assist with the establishment and implementation of best practices regarding data definition, data quality, data security, and data integration · Analysis, development, and generation of reports utilizing Crystal Reports. · Provide level 3 support for databases used by existing applications and develops process to resolve user requests for various business applications.
