Need someone local and must be able to start immd. 6+ months, PA Qualifications:
1. Minimum of 3 years of Information Technology application/programming experience in related logistics, transportation, and supply chain environments. 2. Significant experience with as many of the following (not all): Transportation Management Systems, Warehouse Management Systems, EDI/XML, Customs Brokerage Systems, Document Management Systems, and Financial Systems. 3. Experience with application development and support in a Windows server environment. 4. .NET, Web, and Java development skills. Progress 4GL and OpenEdge a plus. 5. Bachelor's Degree, ideally in Science or Math discipline. Looking for someone who worked in the transportation environment: - Jevic - Conway - McAllister’s (sp?) - Roadway - Fedex/UPS - Yellow - Any 3rd party logistics provider Mix environment (.Net and Java). Mainly .Net shop (C, C# programming). Some Java on the front end. Interfacing skills from one system to another is what they would look for. They will have some legacy systems they will have to support for another 1-2 years. Which is why the Progress 4GL and OpenEdge. IE, Look for candidates who worked for a companies transportation department as an alternative to 3rd party logistics provider. Also, they will be doing EDI mapping.
