*Please send your profiles to* *[email protected]* ** *Position : SharePoint Architect* *Location : **Columbia, SC*** *Duration : 3 months* * * *Scope of Project*: * *An Information Architect with extensive experience with MS SharePoint will be provided to assist client’s Data Warehouse team with the setup and configuration of Microsoft SharePoint (MOSS version 2007) for use as the web interface for the data warehouse. SharePoint will be used to build the web interface for the SLDS Data Warehouse. The Information Architect will be responsible for configuring SharePoint to work with the data warehouse. 1. Setup User Accounts and rules to access to appropriate data warehouse assets. 2. Work with SCDE’s Data/Security Architect to develop code that will allow permissions and roles to be passed from SCDE’s single signon system to SharePoint. 3. Train SCDE’s Data Warehouse developers on how to best utilize the features of SharePoint to deliver data warehouse content. 4. Configure SharePoint to meet the requirements of the Data Warehouse as defined by the Data Warehouse team. 5. Perform a knowledge transfer that will allow SCDE’s Data Warehouse team to manage SharePoint and perform upgrades once this contract expires. Deliverables: 1. Knowledge of Microsoft Office SharePoint Sever and the .Net Framework 2. One Information Architect as defined under the IT Temporary Services state contract with a minimum of 3 years experience as a SharePoint developer. 3. Program documentation as specified by Project Leader. A SharePoint Server expert is needed to provide configuration, implementation and development support to the IT team at the South Carolina Department of Education that is responsible for implementing SharePoint as the website hosting solution for a Longitudinal Data Warehouse system. Expert SharePoint Architect/Developer Job Description *An expert SharePoint Architect/Developer with 3+ years of SharePoint Portal and Office development experience.* *Must have a solid understanding of the disciplines as they apply to the MOSS (Microsoft Office SharePoint Server) 2007 platform; users and permissions, layout and master pages, site definitions and templates, content types, web parts, policies, document and records management, dash-boarding and business intelligence.** Knowledgeable in most aspects of designing and constructing data architectures, operational data stores, data marts, enterprisewide data modeling and database design. Able to define data/information architecture standards, policies and procedures for the organization, structure, attributes and nomenclature of data elements, and able to apply accepted data content standards to technology projects.* * * *Technical and Other Skills Required: ** Expert-level experience with Microsoft SharePoint 2007 and MOSS technologies. Demonstrable experience with .NET Framework to include .NET 3.5 and ASP.NETand C#. Demonstrable experience with 1.
