Data Center Operations - UNIX Administrator: Location: Malvern, PA Duration: 1+ months Description: - Build and Administer Solaris 8, 9, 10 servers. - Build and maintain HP-UX and Red Hat Linux servers. - Configure and maintain Solaris Zones, HP-UX virtual machines and Linux Virtual Machines. - Maintain and monitor UNIX/LINUX file systems. - Deploy application, implement and document Change Controls in Solaris, HP-UX machines. - Support trouble shooting issues relating to day-to-day UNIX administration. - Administer $Universe application and schedule jobs. - Deploy war, ear files in Websphere. - Work with Websphere administrator to fix issues relating to different applications hosted in Websphere and Documentum. - Work with SAN administrator to present, detect LUNS and trouble shoot issues relating to LUNs in UNIX Machines. - Write IP's and IQ's for various installations. - Evaluate the performance of the UNIX machines and Tune the UNIX kernel as required. - Must be available 24 by 7 if and when needed to resolve operational problems. Required Skills: - Have strong knowledge of utilizing Solaris Volume manager, VERITAS Volume Manager and Logical Volume Manager. - Excellent documentation and co-ordination skills. Education: - Five years of exp as a Sun Solaris UNIX admin in a regulated production environment. - Extensive expertise with Sun Solaris and HPUX in an Oracle DB environment.
