Um, thanks, but the issue I had with the programs is that I couldn't
figure out how to install each package and configure them to work
together. I've never used Linux before, and that was the problem. I
never even made it to using either program.

So then, does no one have insider knowledge of OCR and how it works
that I might be able to ask a few questions of for my report?
