Dear all,
one very interesting feature of OCROpus that I'm looking at, to
exploit in digitalization of documents, is the possibility to extract
pictures within a page. E.g. suppose you run OCROpus on a scanned
scientific paper which contains plots. It would be great to recognize
these plots as such, and to save them in separated files.

I see from:
<http://ocrocourse.iupr.com/text-image-segmentation>

that this would be kind of possible, by further elaborating the mask
generated by ITextImageSegmentation.

Is there indeed a more direct way to extract pictures?

Best regards,
    Samuele
