Hi to everyone in group,

i'm very new to this, and globally to OCR-reated projects...
i have a few questions about this OCRopus project which seem to be
very interesting...

For a company i'm working, i'm looking for an OpenSource OCR software
which could be included in a commercial application (Without our full
project source-code, but with copyrights of course). Tesseract's
license (Which is Apache 2 i think) is for example interesting from
this point of view.

1) i found today this project on Google Code, and i'm wondering,
what's the license for OCROpus?
2) Would it be easily or with no big rewriting portable for windows
(Without Cygwin if possible, which means that if any dependencies
should be met, they should also be Apache 2 / LGPL licensed)?
3) How performant is it (i understand it's at alpha stage)? What algo
are used (Which leads to the question if this one can't be answered,
how performant is it planned to be?)?
4) How active is the group? Where to look for conversations?

Thank you very much for reading,
Pierre.
