I have just discovered OCRopus. It looks like a very comprehensive system.
Well done.

I'm wondering how to start. Are there any trained models available? Also,
where is the documentation on how to use the Python bindings? The README
within the ocroswig repository only contains TODO information.

I would like to do something like this:

>>> from ocropus import Book
>>> with open('alice-in-wonderland.tif') as f:
...     alice = Book(f.read())
...
>>> alice[0].text
"Alice was beginning to get very tired of sitting by her sister..."

Is anything like that possible currently?

Kind regards,

Tim McNamara
