I don't do audio processing, so I can't give this a good test, but I do
have a few questions/comments.

1) The BuildRequires field in the DESCRIPTION file lists 'ALSA'. Is that
the name of the library you depends on? I would imagine that the library
would be called 'libalsa' or something like that.

2) Would it make sense to integrate this with the 'audio' package, or is a 
separate package to be preferred?

I assume you don't have SVN access. I can give you this, but I'll need your 
SourceForge login.
