I think I'm the last one to hack the spline code, converting it to use the
sparse tri-diagonal solvers in octave itself and moving part of it in to
octave. So I don't think its that actively maintained by either paul or Kai.
I'd say if the function is useful commit it.
However, that also means that the bug you found might not be fixed without
your help to debug it. I'm on holidays at the moment with access to a copy
or octave and so can't even confirm the bug :-)
