I'm guessing here: when you check something into SVN a mail containing
the patch (all source code changes) is sent to some mailing list (I
can't remember its name). So, if you're patch as large (you've changed
many files, or the modification is huge) you'll get the warning you
mention. My suggestion is to check in you changes more often such that
the changes are smaller. Note that the message you pass to svn ("doc
update" in your example) is only of little relevance here.
