I cannot update the SVN repository anymore. There have been added files "e"
whereas "E" was still there which (on MacOSX and Windows) are one and the same
file (there is no difference between uppercase and lowercase letter file names)
-- svn doesn't know what to do and finally fails. I also see files "F" and "f" -
whatever they do please remove one or the other, cf. directory

Yeah, I see that problem (although I'm not affected by it). I don't know
what the proper solution is, though.

Javier, what is the proper solution?

Sorry for the late answer.

To my understanding, those upper and lowercase files are generated by the admin/split_docstrings script, if everyone agree, I propose to delete those files that create conflicts. Note that this is only a quick solution for the problem.

Nonetheless, the real problem persists since there are commands (i.e. EXEC_PATH(), F_SETFL()) capitalized and their respective help files are produced using the same case. As long-term solution I present two options:

- Modify the admin/split_docstrings script and make it non-case-sensitive, or
- Use only lowercase for commands

Looking forward for more suggestions.

Regards,
Javier
Søren
