I must confess that I don't know the first thing about the translation system, so I can't be of much help :-( Could you possibly describe the problem in some more detail? From what I understand, the problem is that you end up creating a file called 'xxx' and another one called 'XXX', which then creates problems on file systems that treats upper and lower case letters identically.
