Thanks for this contribution, at first look your changes seem OK to  
me, but please read my comments about the
copyright notice in the message I just posted to the list...
if you want to be able to do the check in yourself (or if you intend  
to make more contributions to octave-forge in the future)
you need to register an account on sourceforge (www.sourceforge.net)  
then send an email to the list so that someone can add you to the list  
of developers. Otherwise I can do the check-in for you.
