Did you upload the files to the forum and afterwards download them? For some reason I keep getting the problem. I used $ tar --version tar (GNU tar) 1.23 Copyright (C) 2010 Free Software Foundation, Inc. License GPLv3+: GNU GPL version 3 or later <http://gnu.org/licenses/gpl.html>. This is free software: you are free to change and redistribute it. There is NO WARRANTY, to the extent permitted by law. Written by John Gilmore and Jay Fenlason. with the czf options on Debian unstable. I also tried generating, uploading and downloading the files on an old Solaris box with SunOS 5.10.
