I cannot install the image package image-1.0.12.tar.gz.
I have installed octave3.2.3 and MacPorts 1.8.2 on my mac running OS10.5.8.
when I try to install the image package using
octave-3.2.3:3>pkg install image-1.0.12.tar.gz
I get the following error:

I am a newbie to unix.
What am I missing?
[also BTW, I cannot install the io package
