Carlo, A new version (1.0.13) of the io package is in the upload forum. Can you please update it on the site, please?
What's in there: - (Obviously) many bugfixes; - Some functionality added (spreadsheet formula I/O, thanks for the initiative Benjamin); - More input sanity checks; - Several enhancements (jOpenDocument v 1.2b3 supported, although the wait is really for v 1.2b4 because 1.2b3 has a nasty bug which can only partly be worked around); - Code cleanup, common code moved into separate functions, better "synchronization" of the ODS and XLS scripts. Makes maintenance much easier, at least for me; - Documentation enhanced, a.o., troubleshooting sections for .xls (Excel) and .ods (OpenOffice.org Calc) support. Next on schedule (this fall I hope): - coding style (tabs -> double spaces) - documentation conversion into texinfo (rather than html) - more bug fixes - pls report if you find one.
