Hi
I have the following packages already installed on my MAC OS X 10.6 with
i386-apple-darwin10.5.0 :
octave 3.2.4
cln 1.3.1
GiNaC 1.5.8
The installation of symbolic in octave gives:
octave:2> pkg install symbolic-1.0.9.tar.gz

Anyhow if I try to use symbols I get:
octave:1> symbols
octave:2> x=sym("x")
