Hi I am using Ubuntu 10.10 and octave 3.2.4 as installed from ubuntu software centre.
I try to install the control package from forge but get dependency issues. octave-3.2.4:2> pkg install control-2.0.0.tar.gz error: the following dependencies where unsatisfied: control needs octave >= 3.3.90 How should I work around this? Is there a prev version of the control package or should I update my octave? (not immediately obvious through ubuntu . . .) I had a reply on a forum from Lukas saying: (https://sourceforge.net/projects/octave/forums/forum/8521/topic/4375166) "You need the development snapshots 3.3.90 to 3.3.92 or the stable Octave 3.4.0 release in order to run control-2.0.0 properly. You can ask the ubuntu maintainers to create a recent Octave package or you can try to build your own version from source." Would someone be able to help me further to this problem.
