Hi,

I'm requesting to be registered as an octave-forge developer. My
sourceforge user account is 'davedotcrist' . I'm unsure of the current
status of the rcosine function for the communications package, but it
appears to be not implemented in any official release of Octave. If
someone isn't already developing it, I have a pretty good
implementation of the raised-cosine FIR, and the root-raised-cosine
FIR and that's what I'd like to contribute. I don't have an
implementation of the IIR filters, and don't fully understand how to
implement those.

I work as a software developer and signal processing engineer. I also
go to graduate school part time for electrical-engineering /
signal-processing. I own a student copy of Matlab on my windows
machine, and develop/test octave code on my linux machine (Ubuntu
10.10).

Thanks,
Dave
